Mendelssohn PAC Executive Director Search

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is launching a search for an Executive Director. MPAC is seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record of development and public relations. This person, in cooperation with staff, Committees, and the Board of Directors, will be responsible for the fulfillment of the mission of Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center: to present exciting, personal, interactive music experiences and to enrich our community by fostering and supporting the performing arts.

MPAC is the umbrella organization for Mendelssohn Club, the oldest continuously operating music club in the country at 133 years old. MPAC also includes the Charlotte’s Web Series, the Mendelssohn Chorale, and other music groups. The organization has grown and changed with the needs of our community to become a critical presence in Rockford’s rich and vibrant arts scene. Music lovers and performers young and old come to MPAC to explore their passions and interests, develop their skills, and discover new musical experiences.

MPAC is like no other music organization in Rockford. In addition to presenting internationally acclaimed performers, MPAC also produces dynamic arts collaborations that feature local and area performers, enriching our community and celebrating the wealth of talented music professionals in our region. We take pride in offering educational and performing opportunities that engage music lovers, students, teachers, and artists of all ages and skill levels. Student outreach programs and special lectures accompany many of MPAC’s concerts, and every concert is followed by a reception where our entire audience is invited to meet the artists.
