135th Birthday Celebration
On October 4th, 1884, the Mendelssohn Club was founded by Mrs. Clara Blanche Ellis Starr when she and a group of friends convened in her home on North Main Street to perform music for each other. Since then, MPAC has grown from a private club to a community performing arts center. MPAC now stands as the oldest continuously operated music organization of its kind in the United States. In celebration of MPAC’s 135th birthday, MPAC is recreating the first program of the Mendelssohn Club.
Performing musicians include:
Elizabeth LaGrand O’Leary
Birthday cake will be served after the program.
Admission is FREE; donations are appreciated.
