Welcome to the 124th season of the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center.

For well over a century, Mendelssohn has been a source of musical leadership for residents of Northern Illinois, through live performances by local and world-renowned artists.  Mendelssohn Center is home to the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, the Mendelssohn Chorale, the Rock Valley College Children's Choirs and the Business Office of Kantorei, The Singing Boys of Rockford.  Opportunities for youth include the Chandler Starr Miller Scholarship Competition, High School Starr of Excellence Awards, a Young Musician Series of recitals, concerts, workshops and master-classes and the Broadway Bound vocal ensemble.
